Toyota Leaks New Land Cruiser Teaser, Launching August 2023

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Toyota is certain to soon launch the latest generation of Land Cruiser. This information was obtained through an upload from Toyota’s Instagram account which confirmed that the Land Cruiser’s global debut will take place on August 1 2023.

Toyota also leaked a glimpse of the boxy front of the latest generation Land Cruiser, where in the image you can also see the Land Cruiser series 60 (J60) from the 1980s peeking out from behind.

At first glance, the latest design of the Land Cruiser is reminiscent of the J60, this can be seen from the rectangular light boxes as well as the plastic grille and widened black bumper.

Another upload shows a video showing the back of Toyota’s iconic Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV). You can see the rear lights are made vertically with the Land Cruiser emblem next to them.

Talking about engines, quoted from Carscoops, Thursday (27/7/2023), it is likely that the Land Cruiser will use the same 3.4 liter twin-turbo V6 engine as the Lexus GX. This engine is capable of producing 349 hp.

Additionally, there will be an option for the i-Force Max hybrid V6, which produces a combined 437 hp. Both machines are also reportedly equipped with a 10-speed transmission with a 4WD drive system.
