Toyota Land Cruiser Prado “Matt Black Edition” debuts in Japan
Jakarta (ANTARA) – After launching the Land Cruiser Matt Black Edition for Europe last month, the car manufacturer is now launching the Land Cruiser Prado specifically for the Japanese market, aka the Japanese Domestic Market (JDM), which is called the Package Matt Black Edition.
Quoting CarsCoops on Tuesday, in the Matt Black Edition, the SUV gets a little more stylish and could be the final effort for the 13-year-old current generation model, before the all-new Prado launches next year.

Package Matt Black Edition is distinguished from other Japanese products thanks to finishing black matte on the grille, headlight decoration, roof rails, rear view mirror cover, accent tailgateAnd rims 18 inches wrapped in 265/60R18 tires.
The vehicle’s LED headlights have an auto-leveling function and the rear-view mirrors can be electrically folded.
For the interior, there are black leather seats, wood accents on the dashboard, touch screen infotainment 9 inch with navigation and TV, and six audio system speaker. This SUV is available in five-seat (two rows) and seven-seat (three rows) variants.
The Toyota Safety Sense suite includes adaptive cruise control. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are optional extras.
Unlike the EU-spec Land Cruiser 150 Series which is only available with diesel, buyers in Japan have a choice between diesel and petrol engines.
Thus, the Matt Black Edition is available with a 2.8-liter turbodiesel producing 201 hp (150 kW / 204 PS) and 500 Nm (368.8 lb-ft) of torque, or with a 2.7-liter petrol producing 161 hp (120 kW / 163 PS) and 246 Nm (181 lb-ft) of torque.
In both cases, power is transmitted to all four wheels via a six-speed automatic gearbox.
