JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Toyota officially launched the latest generation of Land Cruiser. This SUV has now become an electrified vehicle too, because it is equipped with a hybrid technology engine.

Meanwhile for the American market, it is only known as the Land Cruiser. This is different from the Japanese market, where this car is known as the Land Cruiser 250.

For engine choices, Toyota offers several engine choices. However, what is interesting is that this car is now also equipped with hybrid technology.

This i-Force Max hybrid engine has a capacity of 2.4 L, 4-cylinder, turbo. The power produced reaches 325 tk and torque of 630 Nm. The power produced is channeled by an 8-speed Direct Shift automatic transmission system.

This engine has previously been used in the latest Toyota Tacoma. This hybrid system is equipped with a battery with a capacity of 1.87 kWh. This engine is for the Prado which is marketed in America.

Meanwhile, for the European and Australian markets, the Land Cruiser Prado is also equipped with a 2.8 L, 4-cylinder, turbo diesel engine. The engine is exactly the same as the one used in the latest generation Fortuner.

However, this machine is also supported by a 48V mild hybrid system. Reportedly, the latest Hilux will also adopt the same engine and mild hybrid technology.
