Sinar Mas Land develops local farmers through partnership programs
Jakarta (ANTARA) – Sinar Mas Land initiated the Local Agricultural Partnership program (Local Farming Partnership) which provides training and guidance to farmers in the Rumpin District, Bogor Regency, West Java.
“The Local Agricultural Partnership Program is a form of Sinar Mas Land’s commitment to contribute to the social sector while partnering with local residents, namely farmers in the Rumpin area,” said Managing Director of Sinar Mas Land President Office Dony Martadisata in a written statement received in Jakarta, Wednesday. .
Dony explained that the Local Agricultural Partnership program was implemented to optimize the development of the agricultural sector and food security in the region.

Apart from that, we also use the company’s land before it is developed by maintaining the land, increasing its fertility, and preventing damage, so that it is more efficient and effective and benefits the welfare of society and the environment.
“The company has been carrying out this program since 2021 and is synergizing with policy makers and the community. Farmers who partner with the company can utilize land owned by Sinar Mas Land in the Rumpin area, Bogor Regency, West Java within the cooperation period agreed by both parties ,” he said.
The Local Farmer Partnership was attended by 317 farmers from Rumpin District spread across seven villages including Mekar Sari, Kerta Jaya, Cipinang, Suka Mulya, Tamansari, Rumpin, and Kampung Sawah.
The implementation of the Local Agricultural Partnership program includes a partnership to manage 149 hectares of company land by sharecropper partners through a periodic lending and use pattern, the construction of an Integrated Agricultural Center, a Hydroponic Farming Green House, and an Organic Fertilizer House.

The Organic Fertilizer House was developed as a facility for partner farmers to process organic waste and livestock manure into organic fertilizer which will later be distributed to various regions and especially used for fertilizing surrounding agricultural lands.
In this program, partner farmers can plant various types of commodities such as hydroponic vegetables and various organic vegetables, tubers, nuts, spices, coconut oranges, bananas, papaya, and so on.
To support the Local Agricultural Partnership program, Sinar Mas Land also provided assistance in building Integrated Agricultural Centers at three locations in Rumpin District.
