Toyota Land Cruiser 70 series becomes Freeport Indonesia’s operational car
Jakarta (ANTARA) – The Toyota Land Cruiser 70 series has been appointed as Freeport Indonesia’s operational car imported by Toyota Astra Motor (TAM) through one of Toyota’s official dealers, PT Hasjrat Abadi.
In an official broadcast on Friday, the Toyota Land Cruiser 70 series that Freeport Indonesia will use includes the Land Cruiser (LC) 78 and 79 models, which are known as workers’ cars in mining areas and other extreme terrain.

The Land Cruiser Series 70 will then be used as an operational vehicle for employee mobility and transporting equipment to mining site which is located at a mining depth of 1,800 meters. This extreme terrain has made Freeport Indonesia choose the Land Cruiser Series 70 as its operational vehicle since 2012.
The Toyota Land Cruiser 70 series is an SUV type vehicle with a sturdy body and large size. The car is available in several models, for example a hardtop for the Land Cruiser 78 and a pickup for the Land Cruiser 79. There are also other models, namely single cabin, double cabin and even wagon and troop.
Referring to the official Toyota Australia website, the Land Cruiser 70 series has a fuel capacity of 130 liters with a towing capacity of 3.5 tonnes.
The LC 70 series uses a 4.5L V8 turbo diesel engine with a 5-speed manual transmission, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Vehicle Stability Control with Hill-start Assist Control and Differential Locks feature.
